The business was planning a significant European acquisition and needed to make some key architecture decisions on the platforms to be used post-acquisition.  Comotion was asked to develop an assessment tool that could be used to analyse and score the options in detail.


Working with the global architecture team in Telefonica, we designed a draft model. We then ran a workshop with representatives from the different operating companies to refine this model. This resulting model reflected the strategic ambitions of the global organisation.  The global architecture team were then able to provide a simple recommendation to the board with confidence that they could clearly articulate why the option was preferred. An additional benefit is that  the tool can be reused for other key architecture decisions.
